Technical Program Guidelines
Upholding academic integrity and fostering impactful research under the theme “Sustainability and Beyond – Unlocking the Power of Research.”
Overview
The Technical Program of CIRS 2025 ensures high academic standards through a rigorous, fair, and constructive review process. It facilitates cross-disciplinary knowledge exchange and promotes impactful research.
- Day 1 – Industry-Academic Interface: Keynotes, expert panels, industry sessions, and the 3-Minute Innovation competition.
- Day 2 – Technical Sessions: Oral and poster presentations organized by faculty-based tracks.
Review Process
- Double-blind review: Identities of authors and reviewers are kept confidential.
- Initial Screening: Checked for plagiarism, formatting, and track alignment.
- Reviewers Assigned: Two or more domain experts evaluate each abstract.
- Criteria: Originality, quality, relevance, clarity, and impact.
- Decisions: Accepted, minor revisions, or rejected with justification.
- Camera-Ready Submission: Required after acceptance.
Presentation Modes
- Oral Presentations: 12 minutes + 3 minutes Q&A.
- Poster Presentations: Interactive and displayed during Day 2 sessions.
- 3MT Presentations: 3-Minute Innovation Competition.
Technical Tracks
Each faculty will host specialized tracks that align with the respective sub-themes of the symposium. During submission, authors are required to select the track that best matches the focus of their research. Based on the nature and volume of submitted abstracts, each track will feature one or more technical sessions, with each session dedicated to a specific area of specialization within the broader track theme.
For example, Track 2 may include a technical session exclusively focused on sustainable innovations in robotics and automation, provided there are a sufficient number of relevant submissions. The formation and structure of technical sessions under each track are determined after evaluating the thematic relevance and clustering of the received abstracts.
Important Guidelines for Authors
- Only structured abstracts (max 300 words) are accepted.
- Submissions must be original and not under review elsewhere.
- Formatting must follow the Submission Guidelines.
- Accepted abstracts will be published in the CINEC Symposium Proceedings.
Best Presentation Awards
- Best Oral Presentation (per technical session)
- Best Poster Presentation (per technical session)
- Best 3MT Presentation
Award decisions are based on content quality, delivery, visuals, and audience engagement.
